Whatever is bringing you to therapy right now, it’s valid and it matters.
Therapy is not about willpower, pretending you are fine, or trying to think your way out of pain without support. It is about having a space where you can be honest, understood in context, and met with care that is both compassionate and clinically grounded.
At Every Body Therapy, we offer therapy that is relational, affirming, and tailored to the full complexity of who you are. Our clinicians draw from a range of evidence-based and depth-oriented approaches to support healing, insight, practical change, and a stronger relationship with yourself.
Each therapist at Every Body Therapy brings their own areas of specialization, but we share a common foundation: anti-racist, trauma-informed, body-liberation-oriented, and systems-aware care.
We do not believe in neutral, one-size-fits-all therapy. Good treatment takes identity, history, relationships, power, culture, and the body seriously. It does not ask you to separate your symptoms from the world you have had to survive in.
Rather than forcing people into a single model, we draw from multiple modalities and shape treatment around the person in front of us. Our goal is care that feels thoughtful, precise, collaborative, and genuinely useful.
All sessions are offered virtually through HIPAA-compliant Telehealth or in person at our Midtown, Columbus Circle, FiDi, Gowanus, and Greenpoint offices. Fees vary by clinician, service, and individual circumstances, and we are happy to discuss options prior to or during the consultation.
How we can help —
Therapy isn’t just for moments of crisis — it’s for anyone seeking support, growth, or clarity.

IIndividual psychotherapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of what you are carrying, and begin to shift the patterns that no longer serve you. Therapy can support healing from trauma, greater emotional regulation, stronger boundaries, deeper self-understanding, improved relationships, and a more connected relationship with your own mind and body.
Our work is collaborative and tailored. We draw from approaches including psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based work, EMDR, IFS, DBT, relational therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies, depending on your needs, goals, and what feels most supportive.
Some of our areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma and complex trauma, dissociation, body image concerns, eating disorders and disordered eating, ADHD, grief, shame, burnout, chronic illness and disability, family dynamics, identity exploration, substance use, sexuality and intimacy, relationship struggles, and major life transitions.

We use the term relationship counseling intentionally. Not every meaningful relationship is romantic, and not every important relationship fits neatly into traditional categories. We work with romantic partners, spouses, queer and trans partnerships, ENM and poly relationships, families, siblings, friendships, and other important relational systems.
In this work, the relationship itself becomes the focus of care. We help people understand recurring conflict, communication breakdowns, attachment patterns, trust ruptures, resentment, intimacy concerns, sexual dynamics, life transitions, and the impact of trauma or stress on the relationship system as a whole.
We affirm a wide range of relationship structures and identities and do not approach relationship work through a rigid, heteronormative, or one-size-fits-all lens. When helpful, we may also recommend concurrent individual therapy to support the relational work more fully.
-
Group therapy is a core part of our practice because healing does not happen in isolation. Group can help reduce shame, build connection, deepen relational insight, and offer the powerful experience of feeling less alone in what you carry.
Our groups vary throughout the year and may focus on support, processing, skills-building, or community around themes such as body image, chronic illness, trauma, identity, relationships, grief, and recovery.
